The novel stands at 25,122 words with an hour and a half to go.
I still have till midnight to add another 24,878 words, I suppose.
I have the Dodgers-Giants game on, and that's a bit distracting.
Plus I'd rather be working on my client's taxes. No kidding.
Speaking of taxes, I discovered the other day that the tax credit I took last year is still in effect, so I almost certainly don't have to pay as much in taxes as I had feared. In fact, I should be able to pay in full without going into hock for it. This doesn't necessarily relieve all my financial problems - working five days a week again would go most of the way to do that - but the wolf is not at the door quite yet.
I'm missing my conversation group next week, because I have a scheduling conflict. I feel apprehensive about this, because I have had a lot of turnover in my group, and I hope the two guys who have come the last couple weeks don't fall out because I won't be there. I am still enjoying the work, and I found a perfect exercise on reading prescriptions in case one of the attendees from a few weeks ago ever comes back. She had asked about that and I wanted to answer her questions.
Other things are going on in my life, but the novel has been the biggie for March. April will be devoted to other things, I think. I have an agenda to fulfill that I have neglected, and there are tax clients to satisfy to boot.
Still, 25K words is the biggest thing I've written by at least tenfold. I am proud of it to that extent.
